Zo’n normaal woord waar dan telkens net geen bevredigende Engelse vertaling voor bestaat: opvallend. Je moet per geval kijken welk Engels woord het beste past als vertaling. Ook al heeft het Engels zo veel woorden om uit te kiezen, vaak is geen enkele vertaling helemaal goed, vind ik.

Ik zou ‘noticeable’ in een paar andere situatie gebruiken, zoals “noticeably absent”
