De uitdrukking “zo stil als een muis” kun je letterlijk naar het Engels vertalen. Ook in het Engels zeg je “quiet as a mouse“.

Deze vertalingen liever niet
Niemand gaat de taalpolitie bellen als je “silent as a mouse” zegt, maar de uitdrukking is normaal gesproken “quiet as a mouse”. Met “silent” klinkt het raar.
