“Klaar is Kees” roepen we in het Nederlands als we iets naar tevredenheid afgerond hebben. Maar ook als we ergens helemaal klaar mee zijn, of willen zijn. Het allitereert zo lekker. In het Engels hebben ze niet één uitdrukking die precies overeenkomt, maar er zijn genoeg Engelse vertalingen om uit te kiezen.
Hieronder in de tabel heb ik vier verschillende manieren gezet waarop we “klaar is Kees” gebruiken. Zoals je ziet zijn de Engelse vertalingen per geval anders.
